James C. Lockwood, MD

The newest EYE GUY, James C. Lockwood M.D., comes from Atlanta, GA and will be practicing at our Aiken and Augusta offices. Dr. Lockwood received his Bachelor of Arts from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and graduated Cum Laude from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his internship at Emory University School of Medicine and his ophthalmology residency at Emory Eye Center.

While at Emory, Dr. Lockwood presented his research on cataract and refractive surgery at national ophthalmology meetings and published multiple papers. Dr. Lockwood was drawn to the EYE GUYS for their focus on compassionate patient care, advanced technology, and excellent outcomes. He continues the tradition of professionalism for which the EYE GUYS are known. We welcome him and feel our patients will benefit greatly from his knowledge and experience.
